Norway Vs Italy futsal game

I had the chance to go and watch Norway play against Italy, in a Futsal World Cup Qualifying game last night. It was really fun to watch these two teams play, with a place at the World Cup this year on the line. Italy won the match comfortably 5-0, however I thought Norway played pretty well during the game. I think the second leg of the qualifier will be in Italy next week, or the week after. Norway will have to come up huge to have a chance to qualify. But anyways, it was a good crowd for a futsal game (around 1300) and I really enjoyed watching the way the teams played. Some of these players are world-class futsal players, so it was very interesting for me to see.

I haven't had much time to update the blog lately, but wanted to post a brief update. I'm currently in Trondheim and have had a few interesting experiences the last couple of days. First of all, I went cross-country skiing for the first time, which was fun, but also much more difficult than I imagined. I also made a quick trip across the Swedish border (which I have done before, but wanted to post a picture anyways). I'll write another update when I get a chance.

Vinter i Oslo (Winter in Oslo)

I woke up this morning slightly annoyed to find it was snowing pretty hard. Quite a bit of snow remained on the ground this week from earlier, but before today it hadn't snowed in a few weeks and I thought we had seen the last of it for the year. Even though the snow is still coming down tonight, I'm hoping this truly is the last snow fall of the year. This has been my first winter in Norway and it definitely is different to the winters I'm used to in White Rock, BC. For me the snow isn't so bad, but the ice is really hard to deal with. Some of the sidewalks are so icy, you actually have to slide your way around. It was fun the first couple of times, but after a while it gets really annoying (especially after falling a few times). Today I was a bit bored because I had the day off training, so I decided to go and get a few things done in the city and I took a few pictures on my way. So this is how Oslo looks in March... Hoping for some warmer weather soon!
